Frequently asked questions

Is Osteopathy covered by Insurance?

Osteopathy is covered or partially covered by most secondary insurance plans. It is not covered by OHIP. Contact your insurance provider for more details.


Do you offer direct billing?

We do not offer direct billing for osteopathy at this time, but we will give you all the details you need to submit to your insurance company. 


RMT does offer direct billing.

How can I pay?

We accept card payment as well as e-transfer. Please ask your practitioner for details as e-transfers are specific to each practitioner.

What should I wear?

Osteopathy allows patients to remain fully clothed during treatment. This means it is ideal if you can wear something that allows you to freely move and bend. Loose fitting clothing, athletic wear or anything you're comfortable in will be great! Hoodies or large sweaters can make treatment more difficult, be sure to have a layer underneath.

What should I expect on my first treatment?

Your practitioner will review your health history with you and talk about your primary concerns. We will conduct assessment and treatment during your first and subsequent appointments. Questions are welcomed!

I do not have insurance, do you offer discounted rates?

Our Osteopathic practitioners are happy to work with you at sliding scale rates. Please ask your practitioner for more details.
